In the new Sport Life Church, I am holding a seminar on the "Somewhat different church". What a joy to teach a bunch of - mainly younger - people who are willing to take a new approach to being Church. Positive, intelligent and enthusiastic folks - from a Swiss Snowboard Champion (who attended with her whole House Group) to an elderly couple who ist struggling to take the shift from very traditional to Missional. The seminar will be three evenings.

We never thought it would happen again, but they managed to visit us one more time. Granddad is 94!

Autumn bike ride
Today, Regula and myself took a long bike ride. Went by train to Kandersteg and then up into the Gastern Valley where we enjoyed the beauty of the steep mountains. Back to Kandersteg and then all the way down to Frutigen-Wimmis-Steffisburg. Wow what a ride - more than 40km, mostly down and up. Returned home joyful and exhausted.

Anniversary week
This week, my wife and I celebrate our 30th marriage anniversary. Every day, we do something special together. What a joy and what a privilege to have three decades of joy, laughter, tears, fun, and pleasure together.

- We are a family of 6 and live in Steffisburg near Thun (Switzerland) and Bern. My beautiful wife is Regula; the youngest son is Andrew, then Christina, the pretty young lady, followed by Markus the longest (with Martha his wife from Colombia) and Urs Michael the eldest (with his wife Emily from Jakarta). If you ever come by, do not forget to call and have a coffee (or more).
